
Ms. Kelli Ratliff, Mr. Dustin Blair, Mrs. TIna McKenzie, and Mrs. Charlene Owens represented Central Elementary today at the KVEC Virtual FIre Summit! Each received Learning Innovation Grants for up to $1000.00 for their classrooms/school to purchase resources for students after identifying a specific challenge.

Mrs. McKenzie’s 1st graders learned about sound vibrations in their science station investigations today. These kids are awesome scientists.





Mrs. Holbrook's 3rd graders are so excited to learn more about planets and the social system through research after being introduced to the subject in their reading story this week.





CES teachers are creating class and team scoreboards that help students track their progress, encourage and motivate them, and celebrate successes. Awesome job Eagles!!!




Our students in the CES choir will be performing in the Johnson County Christmas Choir on Dec 7, 2021 at the Mountain Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased at macarts.com.

Mrs. Hensley’s class earned “Flashlight Friday” by working hard and achieving their i-Ready goals this week. Keep up the great work!





Ms. Ratliff's science class built and manipulated models of roller coasters while learning about energy transfer.





Our CES Volley Eagles participated in the Volleyrama tonight at JCMS. We are very Proud of the girls effort tonight and excited for the season.




M Hill’s 6th graders are building their own Nearpod lessons on grammar. They will teach these lessons to their classmates.





There will be no Volleyball practice today 11/3/21. We will play tomorrow night in the Panorama at JCMS.

This AMAZING group of students have been the school's iReady Time-On-Task winners for 5 weeks in a row. If you see a CES 4th grader, congratulate them for their hard work. They met their goal within 2 weeks and surpassed it. Way to Go!

Mrs. O'brian is reviewing with her 4th grade math student using the interactive board. Our students are loving this resource. They are staying engaged and actively learning.

Mr. Blair's 6th grade students worked on Google Slides presentations today. They read a short story and then identified the 5 parts of the plot diagram using the interactive panel.




Mrs. White, 1st grade teacher at Central Elementary, successfully completed a challenge-based coaching cycle based on the 5 Step Coaching Model.
