For Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, some of Mrs. Skaggs' students handed out encouraging notes to staff members they chose. After reading the notes, each student quickly knew who they wanted to give theirs to. It not only brightened our staff’s day, but also showed the students how good it feels to encourage and appreciate others.

We had a great morning here at C.E.S.! Our Student Lighthouse Team met with our Leader in Me coach this morning to review our latest MRA survey data. It was amazing to watch these young leaders analyze the results and take ownership of our school’s future. Their hard work is a shining example of the pride we take in our school and our community! (Central Elementary - A Leader in Me Lighthouse School!)

Eagles SOAR after school programming

CES will begin our end of year assessments soon. First Grade will begin on May 8th and all other grades will begin on May 11th. Please watch for notices from teachers about testing. Also, all grades participate in tests that require them to listen, so ask your child about their headphones.

Clara is a proud Paintsville High School graduate, former cheerleader and golfer, and now serves our community as a case manager at Frontier Medical Care.
