🖤💛 Central Elementary Supporting the DeWire Family 💛🖤 The Central Elementary family is joining our Johnson County community in lifting up 17-year-old Braylon DeWire and his family following the tragic brush fire accident in late January. As a school community, we believe in showing up for one another during difficult times. CES is currently collecting direct financial donations to help support the DeWire family with medical and travel expenses during Braylon’s recovery. Order your Yearbook NOW! Every student received a yearbook order form. You can order online or send money or check to school. Please make checks payable to CES PTO. The cost is $40.00. The deadline is March 20, 2026. We will not be able to add orders after that day, so please make your order ASAP. We can't wait to see all the EAGLES celebrated in this yearbook.

🌟 Staff Spotlight of the Week 🌟 This week, our Student Lighthouse Team proudly selected Mrs. Brooke Daniels as our Staff Spotlight! 🦅💛 During our recent NTI days, Mrs. Daniels went above and beyond for our students. She worked hard to help everyone get their assignments made up and attended every single Google Meet, always ready to jump in and support however she was needed. Her dedication, consistency, and heart for students truly reflect what it means to be part of The Gold Standard at Central Elementary. Thank you, Mrs. Daniels, for showing up, leading with care, and making a difference for our Eagles every single day! 💫

With Family Resource and Youth Services Centers Week approaching soon, CES would like to show our appreciation for Mrs. Nikki Jude. Thanks for all you do for our students and their families.

CES teachers and students are continuing teaching and learning with non-traditional instruction. A lot of great instruction is happening during morning Google Meets. We miss our students and staff, but we will keep working hard while we are at home.

🚧❄️ Shoutout to Our Transportation Team! ❄️🚧 A huge thank you to Mr. Darren Gamble and our transportation staff for their hard work clearing snow and ice from our parking lot. Their dedication helps keep our staff, students, and families safe during these winter conditions. We appreciate you more than you know—thank you for going above and beyond for Central Elementary!

This is a fundraiser pageant for The Frontier Foundation and will be held on February 28th, 2026 at 12:00PM at Porter Elementary School. There will be 2 separate categories(Beauty Wear & Valentines Wear). Contestants (female or male) can compete in one or both. Cost of this pageant is $65 for the beauty category and $65 for the valentine category. Contestants can do both for $120. Each Category will have divisional winners, side awards, and 3 overall supremes(novice, mini, grand). There will be a separate division for our spacial needs friends! It is listed as our Elite on the form!

🖤Board Member Appreciation Month 💛 At today’s Johnson County Board of Education meeting, CES Leader Brinley Williams had the honor of presenting Board Member Mr. PR Greer with a Golden Eagle Award! 🦅🏆 Mr. Greer is a true supporter of Johnson County Schools and Central Elementary — always showing up, encouraging our students and staff, and leading with pride in our community. We are grateful for the time, heart, and dedication he gives to help our schools continue to grow and succeed. During Board Member Appreciation Month, we want to say a big THANK YOU to Mr. Greer and all of our board members for their service, leadership, and commitment to our students.
