Red Ribbon Week begins on Monday October 26th! Red Ribbon Week is a movement dedicated to drug and bulling prevention. Each day we will have a different dress up theme and on Thursday Oct. 29 we will host our "Say Boo to Drugs" Halloween Drive Thru Event at JCHS from 5-7pm. This year's spirit days are:
Monday- Be All That Can Be, Be Drug Free (wear Camo)
Tuesday- Use Your Head, Be Drug Free (wear your favorite hat)
Wednesday- Our School is Drug Free (school spirit gear)
Thursday- Team Up Against Drugs (wear favorite sports team apparel)
Friday- Drugs Are Scary (wear costume)

October is Fire Safety Prevention Month. To celebrate, Third Grade students are encouraged to participate in a "Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen" poster contest. You can send a photo of your submission to Erin.Caudill@Johnson.kyschools.us. This is open to any 3rd grade student at Porter Elementary whether they are virtual or brick and mortar. For details see flyer below. Winner will receive a smoke/carbon monoxide detector as well as a kitchen extinguisher spray.
