Today we sent a letter home about our field trip to the Louisville Zoo this Friday, June 27th. Today was a great day of learning and having fun at the P.A.W.S summer camp.
We would like to thank the Kentucky Division of Forestry, the United States Forestry Service and Smokey the Bear for visiting with our campers today. They spoke to our campers about the history of Smokey and the importance of forest fire prevention.
Summer camp parents yesterday Tuesday, June 17th, the permission slip for our final field trip to the Louisville Zoo was sent home. Please make sure to mark your choice and return to Porter Elementary as soon as possible. We would like to have as accurate count as possible.

We would like to thank Chet and Melissa Griffith for having our summer campers out to their family farm, The Griffith Family Farm, last Friday. Our campers enjoyed such fun activities as rock painting, enjoy Dawkins Heights walking trail, planting their own seeds, taking a ride on the tractor and much more.
