Parents come and join Mrs. Macey Stewart as she presents Nutritional Meals on a Budget from 4:30 to 5:00 in the cafeteria at Porter Elementary today (Wednesday). This will be our final Adult Skills building activity for our P.AW.S Afterschool program for the 2023-2024 school year. We are looking forward to seeing all of our parents. The annual Parent Expo is back this year! This is an event for Pregnant families and families with children birth to 5 years old!
The Family Resource Center will be set up during Parent Teacher Conferences giving away various sizes and colors of FILA slides similar to the picture below. If you child could use a pair come and see us!

The Family Resource Center has the following baby clothing items available to anyone who may need/want them. If you would like any of these items please comment and I will reach out to you.
The April Child Abuse Prevention Celebration and Fun on the Farm at The Mountain Homeplace is free and open to all families. This event will be Saturday, April 20, with lots of activities taking place throughout the day. Refer to the flyer for the schedule or call DCBS at (606)788-6826 for more information.
Porter Family Resource Center April Newsletter
Today is the day! Please join us for our Grandparents and Relative Caregiver Support Group at the Country Music Museum from 11 AM to 1 PM. We will have fellowship, catering from Mrs. Angie and her JCHS culinary students and a presentation on cyber safety from Detective Mike Lemon. This group is open to and person who raises children who are not biologically their children.
Special thanks to these veterans for teaching students how to properly change and dispose a tattered flag. We appreciate you! 🇺🇸
