The JCMS Youth Services Center hosted a field trip for the 8th grade student council members to the Southeast Area Health Education Center Career Expo at the Ramada Inn. Students were exposed to a variety of health care careers. Local hospitals, businesses and colleges were represented providing a wealth of health care career information. It was an amazing opportunity for the students to see all the wonderful options they can pursue in health care industry!

Congratulations Cadence Whitaker!!!! JCMS is so proud to announce Cadence placed second among over 500 entrants in the Kentucky Department for Public Health poster contest. Cadence and 13 other students had their work displayed during the 2019 Children’s Environmental Health Conference held in Somerset, Ky. $75.00 for Cadence and pride for Johnson County!


Mrs. Moore's Advanced ELA Class has been reading a book in which the character "Code Switches". They annotated an article about the topic, did a "Camp Fire Reading" and had a whole group discussion. Students were very engaged in the activity and debate.
