Jigsaw's got us all piecing it together! Mrs. Patrick's Math 7A class is hard at work comparing box plots with problems from our i-Ready workbooks. We're using the Kagan structure to master this concept together, sharing our individual insights to create a complete picture of the data. #JCMSstrong #GoEagles

What a fun, Kagan-filled day in Mrs. Staniford’s room!
Students jumped into a Fan-N-Pick activity to review their vocabulary words, then worked together in a lively Quiz-Quiz-Trade to recap the last three chapters they’ve read. So much energy, teamwork, and learning all in one day!
Keep up the great work, Eagles! 🦅

8th Grade ELA students in Mrs. Preston's room did an amazing job partnering to answer questions and find text evidence for Mr. Spradlin's first lesson. They are truly enjoying reading and interacting with text from The Outsiders. Nothing compares to reading high quality literature 📚✨

Students have been learning about chickens this past week. Today they were able to interact with Serama roosters. They discussed the features of a rooster and the purposes as they differ from hens. These roosters were hatched here at JCMS last spring.

Students learn how to work together to do better, or Synergize, by making a fruit salad with our guests from CAP/Camp Shawnee!

Students in Mrs. Staniford's class just rocked their test prep with a deconstructed study guide review! 🤯 This isn't your average, sit-at-your-desk review. Instead, it's an interactive, collaborative approach that gets students up and moving while they solidify their understanding of the material. We love seeing them take ownership of their learning! 📝✨
