7th graders in Mrs. Smith's class are diving deep into "The Giver" by Lois Lowry this week! Students worked on a Theme Quote Sort Activity, matching key quotes from the novel to major themes like memory, individuality, and freedom of choice.

This hands-on lesson helped them make powerful connections between the story’s ideas and real-life experiences — and the discussions that followed were incredible! 💭❤️

It’s amazing to see our students thinking critically, collaborating, and uncovering what makes this classic story so meaningful.

Our Eagles enjoyed the JCHS pool as part of their Lights On AfterSchool celebration. We really appreciate JCHS allowing our Eagles the opportunity to celebrate our 21st CLCC after school program with a pool party.

We would like to thank our community partners from 4-H, Sonjia Meade, for working with our Eagles on identifying leaves and compiling individual leaf journals.

Wish the JCMS JAG students good luck today as they are competing in the E-CIP Challenge at Big Sandy Community and Technical College.

Today Eagle Enrichment got to expressive their creativity by completing canvas painting.

Congratulations to our very own Mrs. LeighAnn Jeffers as she was inducted into the University of Pikeville's Distinguished Educator Hall of Fame!! Mrs Jeffiers is so very deserving of this honor. She is an amazing educator but her love for students is unmatched! We are so proud!
