A group of students attended the Young Women Lead conference at The University of Kentucky today. These students were able to hear many different female speakers today. • Amber Philpot award-winning news anchor from from WKYT. • Jasmyne Thornton, a senior manager at Toyota who oversees the production of the Camry and RAV4. •Julie Carrier, a global authority for leadership development of young women. This afternoon the students were also able to sit in on a STEM Career Panel composed of various females. These professionals spoke on different areas of STEM in their careers, obstacles they have encountered as females in the workforce, and the highlights of their professions. Such an awesome opportunity for our students to attend! #moreopportunities #ywl
