
Interested in increasing your scholarship money for college? Register for the SAT and/or ACT! If you have a 504 plan or IEP, make sure to select that you need accommodations when you register. Fee waivers are available to juniors and seniors to cover the expense of the tests. See Mrs. Caudill for more information.


All examinees earn college credit by passing one or more AP exams. Free testers also will receive bonus KEES money for each test they pass.

Halloween spectacular at JC!



We are pleased to announce on behalf of the JCHS Criminal Justice Program that Izaiah Hunter was voted by his peers as the "Top Report Writer" in the entire program. Mr. Hunter is shown with his instructor, Office Adam William, as he enjoyed lunch at McDonalds as a reward. We are so proud of you, Izaiah!

A group of students attended the Young Women Lead conference at The University of Kentucky today. These students were able to hear many different female speakers today.
• Amber Philpot award-winning news anchor from from WKYT.
• Jasmyne Thornton, a senior manager at Toyota who oversees the production of the Camry and RAV4.
•Julie Carrier, a global authority for leadership development of young women.
This afternoon the students were also able to sit in on a STEM Career Panel composed of various females. These professionals spoke on different areas of STEM in their careers, obstacles they have encountered as females in the workforce, and the highlights of their professions.
Such an awesome opportunity for our students to attend!

October senior ACT results are in! Eight seniors joined new score clubs:
New additions to the 30 and Up Club are Ben Moore, Aman Patel, and Cole Ward.
Joining the 28 and Up Club is Jacob Rubado.
Just added to the 25 and up Club are Sariah Bowman, Kylie Lemaster, Madison Russo, and Amber Stiltner.

Congratulations to members of EagleX, the solar car team, for placing second in the SOAR Summit's elevator pitch! These students competed with students from other schools and adults from the surrounding community and did an outstanding job!
