These outstanding staff members were selected by our Student and Staff Lighthouse Team for their dedication, positivity, and the amazing impact they have on our school community. Thank you for all that you do!

In continued support of the JCHS CAP Hunger Walk, JCHS students will spend football playoff week one collecting food items for students in need! At JCHS we are aware that there are students that face food insecurities on a daily basis and we are banding together to bring awareness and continue to fight food insecurity in our school.

Classes will receive spirit points for their food donations with the option of bonus point items as well.

Freshmen - Granola Bars
Sophomore - Poptarts
Juniors - Oatmeal Packets
Seniors - Cereal

Bonus Items - Packs of microwaveable mac-n-cheese and packs of ramen noodles

JCHS Cross Country teams are headed to Lexington to the Kentucky Horse Park to compete in the State Cross Country meet! Congratulations on a great season and best of luck to all runners!

Chemistry + Pumpkins = Science Fun! This week in chemistry, we sorted pumpkins based on certain characteristics to explore periodic trends like atomic size, ionization energy, and electronegativity! Students compared their "pumpkin elements" to see how properties change across a period and down a group. Who knew learning about the periodic table could be so gourd-geous?

🦅 JCHS Student Lighthouse Team Update! We’ve had a busy and exciting week! In our meeting, we focused on Habit 3: Put First Things First, reflected on past activities and events, and started planning several upcoming projects — including our Positivity Bulletin Board and Veterans Day Assembly. We’re also lending a hand with Red Ribbon Week! Love seeing the enthusiasm and leadership these students bring to our school every day!💛

Congratulations to the JC Girls Soccer Team on a wonderful season! They finished in the Elite 8 of the KHSAA State Championship Tournament! Congratulations to Braylee Murphy on being selected to the KHSAA All State Team!

Congratulations to the JCHS Cross Country Teams! The boys team finished as Region Runner up and the girls team finished in 4th place! Individually Riley Derosset medaled in 5th place and Eli Bolden medaled in 8th place! Both teams are state qualifiers! #WeAreJC

The JC Bowling team travelled to Montgomery County for their first tournament of the season. The girls finished first and the boys finished third. The Eagles will be in action this Thursday and Saturday! #WeAreJC
