Congratulations to our junior class as they BEAT last year's state ACT scores in every single subject area! All 211 of our 11th graders took the ACT digitally and rocked it! Way to go, kiddos!
Big Sandy Financial Aid Day! Tomorrow at 9:30am Johnson Central Cafeteria counselors from admissions and financial aid will be here to assist any senior still needing help getting ready for college. Please if you haven't completed FAFSA or applied yet to college come and let these people help you. You don't have to be going to Big Sandy to get help.
NHS members held a book drive this month. They collected over 100 children’s books! Pictured, several members came together to donate the books to Our Lady of the Mountains School.
A big congratulations to Brooklynne Arms and Zoe Castle. Both girls have received the very prestigious national scholarship from the Hagan Foundation. The Foundation has thousands of applicants across the nation all hoping to graduate college debt free. Recipients are also awarded a schwab brokerage account and are required to attend workshops on how to invest and manage their money. Truly a remarkable honor to have two students receive this scholarship.
Seniors just a reminder, this Friday Mr. David Pelphrey an admissions counselor from Big Sandy, and Ms. Robyn Brown a financial aid counselor from Big Sandy will be here to help any senior who wants to go to college or vocational school and you still haven't filled out your FAFSA, or you still need help with an application they want to meet with you. They will be here around 9:30am in the cafeteria. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to get help with any college questions you may still have unanswered. I am also attaching a handout Mr. Pelphrey sent if you are going to let them help you fill out your FAFSA these are the items you will need to have with you.

Big Sandy is hosting a college and career fair on April 13th , 2022 from 9:00am-2:00pm. The event is in the student center on the Prestonsburg Campus. They are expecting over 30 colleges, technical schools, and universities.
