
Our first guidance counselor spotlight belongs to Mrs.Amanda Murphy whose commitment to her craft is as awe-inspiring as it is genuine. She has transformed the role of a senior guidance counselor into a beacon of hope and understanding for those who seek her guidance. Whether it's assisting 12th graders in their academic pursuits, helping them navigate the complex web of college applications, or providing emotional support during challenging times, Mrs. Murphy's dedication knows no bounds.
Mrs. Murphy is celebrated for her ability to forge meaningful connections. Her genuine interest in the well-being of each individual she encounters has earned her the admiration and respect of students, parents, and colleagues alike. Her approachability and willingness to go the extra mile reflect her deep-seated belief in the transformative power of education and guidance.


Our next English spotlight is on Megan Wilson. Ms. Wilson will be the 9th grade Barr Gold Team English teacher this year, and she is super excited to get her third year started!


Our second English department spotlight goes to Mr. John Rehmeyer. After teaching underclassmen last year, Mr. Rehmeyer will be transitioning to senior English and also working as a KYOTE guru! Mr. Rehmeyer is beginning his second year as an Eagle, and we are excited to have him back!


The JCHS English Department is ready for the new year, and we want to shine the spotlight on our department! First one that we are excited to introduce you to is our newest member: Mr. Blake Cochran. Cochran is a JCHS alum and recent Morehead State University graduate who is returning and will be teaching ENG II. Cochran is also excited to be a part of the initial group of JC educators who are tasked with the implementation of our new BARR 10. The English faculty is so excited to have one of our own join the team, so help us welcome Mr. Cochran back home!

We would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to Mrs. Becky Estep, for joining our Eagle family! As the Youth Services Director, Mrs. Estep will play a vital role in shaping the lives of the young people we aim to support. Her leadership, vision, and dedication will undoubtedly contribute to the success of our programs and initiatives, ensuring that our YSC continues to provide high-quality services that positively influence the lives of the youth in our school.


Lyndsay Cantrell APRN, Kelly McGuire APRN & JCHS school nurse Samantha Garrett RN, BSN performed over 100 sports physicals over the last two days to our students across the district! What a wonderful service provided thanks to ARH!


Join us in welcoming Mrs. Mikayla Setser to our school as a full-time substitute teacher! We are excited to have her on board and appreciate her commitment to providing quality education to our students.
