During National Apprenticeship Week, we'd like to recognize two members of our faculty who make our School Based IT Generalist Apprenticeship possible. Mr. Andrew Castle is the Employment Supervisor for our apprenticeship students and also assists in providing the related technical instruction required. Ms. Amanda Austin is currently serving as the Project Navigate ABA Career Support Specialist and is the Program Sponsor registered with the Department of Labor. Thank you to these individuals for assisting in providing yet another #opportunity for our students.

In honor of National Apprenticeship Week, JCHS would like to recognize six of our current program participants who are a part of a specialized employment mentorship group. These talented young ladies applied, interviewed, and were selected to mentees of Dr. Malyssa Collins. Dr. Collins is the Employment Mentor for the Project Navigate ABA grant. She will spend this next year helping these ladies develop soft skills, resumes, interview skills, and so much more in order to help them succeed in their future workplace. Congratulations to (top row L-R) Jadyn Estep, Ashlyn Patrick, Adyson Burchett, (bottom row L-R) Braley Howard, Madison Goble, and Kaylee Gibbs

JCHS is currently one of six schools who are home to the WEP Project Navigate ABA program. In honor of National Apprenticeship Week, we'd like to recognize some of our apprentices who are earning their certificate as a School Based IT Generalist. These students are completing a registered apprenticeship. As a result, they will begin earning a wage, will gain valuable experience, and will be recognized as PostSecondary Ready upon graduation. In addition to the work based learning, students also have access to an employability mentor, additional funds for Dual Credit enrollment, and funding for certification exams.

All are welcome!
