Johnson Central would like to announce that Kayla Moore VanHoose will be taking on a new role as Sports Information Director. In order to focus on the duties of her new role, VanHoose has decided to step away from coaching volleyball at JCHS.
We look forward to her contributions in her new role and would like to thank her for her hard work and dedication as volleyball coach. Her youth league initiative has sparked interest in volleyball at a young age for students throughout our school district and should lead to future success for our program.
Her promotion of our student athletes has been outstanding, and in her new role, we especially look forward to her helping many more students in our school achieve their goals of earning college scholarships.

Current 2019/2020 Seniors can now order online through Kentucky e transcripts and parchment. com copies of their in progress transcripts free of charge. This should be beneficial for filling out college applications and transcripts.

Mrs. Blair’s Equine Science class wrapped up an anatomy lesson today! The students had q-tips, pipe cleaners and play doh to create the skeleton of a horse. I really enjoyed watching them work together, be creative and learn without realizing they’re learning!

Johnson County Schools will be closed February 5th-7th due to illness. Please wash or sanitize all school supplies such as lunch boxes, backpacks, and coats.

Juniors signed up for the ACT this Saturday: The test will go on as scheduled. Be here by 7:45am with your charged chromebook, printed admission ticket, and permit/drivers license. If you need help printing your ticket, stop by the main office Wed-Friday. Someone should be in there to help you.

Lunch will be served free of charge for all children 18 and under from 11:00-12:30 at Johnson Central High School.

Seniors, please don’t forget there are several scholarships still available. They are all still within time limits to apply. Also make sure you are applying for your FAFSA. FAFSA is the federal government application for grants and loans you may be eligible for to help pay for college. Kentucky tuition grant (KTG), College Access program (CAP) grant, and the federal PELL grant are not scholarships you apply for through my office. These are all things you may qualify for after you go to FAFSA.gov online and fill out your application. If you need help completing FAFSA please come and see me and I will help you get it completed.

Tonight’s Lady Eagle Basketball game against East Ridge will be varsity only.
The game will begin at 7 PM.
