
Second grade has been working on Author’s purpose this week! Mrs.Rhonda Vanhoose’s class went on an Author’s Purpose Scavenger hunt through the school today!





CES 4th graders using the science practices of questioning, planning an investigation and explaining based on evidence, as they study the short term effects of exercise on the body.





Interested in Girl Scouts? Kindergarten and 1 grade girls interested in becoming a Daisy will have a meeting on September 27th. Come see what it’s all about!


Central Elementary is so thankful for Nurse Jackie Collins. Her Golden Eagle Award is well deserved.


Looks like the weather is going to hold up for the football games tonight. K-2 Flag Football begins at 5:30.

Tomorrow is the JCHS Choir Concert at 1:30 p.m. Any purchase tomorrow $.25-$1.00 will get a student into the concert or $1.00 admission. Fresh popcorn, drinks, and snacks will be sold before concert and after.


K-2 Flag Football will be having practice today, Wednesday, September 18 at 5:00 pm. The next game will be Monday, September 23 at 5:30 pm. NOTE: An additional set of games have been added to the schedule before playoffs on Thursday, September 26. Flag play at 5:30 & 6:30.

5th grade is selling chances on 2 Dollywood tickets. Chances are only $1.00. Don’t miss out!

Due to parent teacher conferences tomorrow afternoon, our first Eaglette practice will be rescheduled to Friday, September 13, from 3:00 to 4:00.
The deadline to join the Eaglettes and to pay the costume fee is also Friday, September 13. This is for girls in kindergarten to 3rd grade. Please contact Ms. Hannah for more information!
