Primary (K-2) Inflatables and Fun Stations will be Thursday, May 28th.

Upper Grades (3-6) Inflatables and Fun Stations will be Friday, May 29th.

All other events remain as scheduled.

Flat Gap Elementary won two of the four divisions from the Regional 4H Competition today! Third Grade Greyhound, Aubrey O'Bryan won first place in the vocal competition, and 4th grade students Remi Maynard and Tabitha Kretzer won the skit competition! For 31 years, Jeanne Reed has been a cornerstone of Flat Gap Elementary. She is an incredible educator who has impacted the lives of well over 1,300 students throughout her career. Jeanne has not only been an outstanding teacher, but also a leader, mentor, and role model within our school family. Her love for students, dedication to education, and commitment to Flat Gap Elementary have left a lasting mark on generations of children and families. Congratulations on your retirement!!! ❤️

FLAT GAP ELEMENTARY NAMED AS A RECIPIENT OF THE LAURA BUSH FOUNDATION FOR AMERICA’S LIBRARIES GRANT Today, Flat Gap Elementary was one of 220 schools from 38 states across the country to receive a $5,000 grant through the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries. This year, the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries awarded over $1 million in library grants. Many of the libraries will use the funds to update and diversify their collections. "Libraries help open doors far beyond the classroom, giving children the resources they need to dream, explore, and be bold,” said Mrs. Bush. “When we support school libraries, we are encouraging students to be strong readers and lifelong learners.” At the annual Laura Bush Book Club event, which is part of the Engage at the Bush Center series, presented by NexPoint, Mrs. Bush’s 2026 summer reading list was revealed. The list features 17 books, which will all fall into one of three themes, “Freedom to Be Bold,” “Freedom to Dream,” and “Freedom to Explore”.
