HES 4th graders wrapped up a science & language arts unit about natural disasters and changes on land. Students read a variety of texts, worked in small groups to prepare teaching posters for their peers, created structures of homes that would withstand natural disasters, and plotted volcano locations on maps to see if KY was at risk. Shout out to these awesome kids! 💙

Mrs. Montgomery's kindergarten class continued talking about weather today, specifically rain. It was only fitting to make it 'rain' with a hands-on demonstration of clouds filling with water then the water precipitating back to the ground. We finished Fun Friday by making some yummy rainbow crafts.

First graders in Mrs. Bolden’s class spent the week learning about patterns in space. During their fun Friday activity they created the moon using paint and aluminum foil. HES first graders are out of this world!!
