BRRR! Lighthouse team members took time this morning to help our neighbors before bad weather by filling our Blessing Box.
Students in Mrs. Vanhoose's class enjoyed practicing their addition facts by using a Kagan structure called quiz, quiz, trade. Then celebrated by doing a 10 second dance party!! Who wouldn't want to be a part of this class???!!!!
Congratulations to Jaxton Marshall for being the AARP Grandparent essay winner for Highland Elementary!!! He will compete at the next level, results will be announced in February!!!

The Johnson County School District will not be in session tomorrow, Friday, January 16, due to illness and to allow extended time for sanitation of school facilities. School will also be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Rest up, Golden Eagles, and come back ready to soar.

A big shout out to some of our 5th grade students who helped us complete a project in the library today! We are blessed to have leaders like them who are always willing to pitch in and help better our school.
We are so excited for our Kindergarten and 1st grade readers to be able to use our new book browsing bin when they visit the library!
