The Johnson County School District had an outstanding JC Induction New Teacher training week. We greatly appreciate Mrs. Robin Halsey, Mrs. Jessica Mullins, and all new Eagles for ensuring the sessions were high-quality and engaging!




The Johnson County Eagles swooped down yesterday at the Ashland/Tomcat Invitational Meet!!! Our elementary boys took home another first place win at the meet and the elementary girls placed fourth!!!! Our Cross Country Eagles are really soaring this season!!!!





Mrs. Sabrina O'bryan recently presented "Growl Groups," and Mrs. Pam Slone presented "Strategies to Accelerate Reading" during the Kentucky Reading Association Conference. Way to go, Mrs. O'bryan and Mrs. Slone!




The Johnson County Central Office has flags displayed at half-staff today, honoring the long-time service of Ms. Judith Hamilton, who passed away Monday, September 12th.
Ms. Hamilton was a 27-year veteran of the school system. She taught school at Flat Gap Elementary and retired in 2001. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they lay her to rest. Her service will be today, September 14th, at 1:00 pm at the Ramey Branch Church in Flat Gap, Ky.


Tuesday, September 13th, is High Attendance Day across Kentucky. Let's show up ready to learn and have the highest attendance in the state!


On this Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance, the Johnson County School District remembers and pays tribute to the heroes and victims of 9/11.

JC Tech Team welcomed new Help Desk members during Highland Elementary's Club Day. Members took a tour of the campus learning about networking and wireless access points!


Johnson County Eagle Academy faculty are collaborating with the KET Experience , the Kentucky Digital Learning network, and the Kentucky Department of Education to ensure Johnson County virtual students are engaged and successful.


Students in Mr. Hill's 8th Grade Language Arts Class used their annotation skills in a mock trial of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart."
