Fourth-grade students in Mr. Conley's math class have been busy collaborating and using problem-solving skills to solve real-world scenarios.

  • Students had to figure out how the same fence length can make five different fields for their herd. They then discovered which shape had the largest area to hold the most cattle!
  • Students explored time in different increments, created a human bar graph of their birth months, and turned themselves into the hands of an analog clock.
  • Students built mini-airplanes and used their math knowledge of factors and multiples to figure out which numbers on the runway keep them from crashing!
