Eagle Staff, Students, Parents & Community -

For the 2021-22 school year, Johnson County Schools will return to the pre-COVID school plan of in-person classes, 5 days per week.  The first day for students will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021.  You can click here for the 2021-22 Johnson County Schools Calendar.  We are excited and thankful for the current trend in COVID occurrences in our community and the relaxing of mandates by Governor Beshear.  Currently, masks are still required for students and staff in schools and that will continue to be a requirement in Johnson County Schools until we receive additional guidance from the Kentucky Department of Education.

The safety and health of our students has always been and will continue to be, a top priority for our administration.  Regular cleaning and disinfecting of facilities will be maintained during this transition.  We are also thrilled to announce that in conjunction with the Johnson County Health Department, Johnson County Schools is planning a voluntary vaccination clinic for students 12 & above.  Please note that this is NOT required, only an offering for anyone interested.  Please complete the Google Form by June 11 to register your child if you want to have him/her vaccinated: COVID -19 Vaccination Registration.

The past year and a half has been extremely tough, both physically and mentally, on all of us.  We look forward to moving ahead to a normal school year and being able to educate, encourage and support our students in the manner they need and deserve.

As always, I appreciate each of you and the support you show our Johnson County students.  Please keep in mind that as mandates and guidance change, our plans will be revised as well.   I ask for your patience and understanding as we move forward.

Take care, be safe and may God bless you and your families.
