Mission Statement

Mission Statement

The mission of the Johnson Central Career and Technical Education Guidance and Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive approach to the development of each student’s academic, career, and personal/social competence through collaboration with students, staff, parents, and community.

Johnson Central High School offers 27 different career majors with many partnering student orgizations in a wide variety of areas including Animal Science, Horticulture, Ag Power, Structural and Tech Systems, Accounting, Management & Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Multimedia Publishing, Telemedia, Education, Allied Health, Pre-Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Culinary, Information, Technology, Web Design, and Engineering, with so many individual choices for our students, it is easy to see why no school in the state of Kentucky can match the number of programs that Johnson Central provides to help our students achieve transition readiness.

            SkillsUSA’s mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. At the heart of this mission are SkillsUSA’s core values: integrity, responsibility, citizenship, service and respect.

            FBLA is a national vocational student organization for students in high school and middle schools who are interested in business or business education careers.  Benefits of membership are leadership skills, business competencies, community responsibilities, and self-confidence.

            FCCLA focuses on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader. Members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communications, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

            FFA's focus is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
